Wind Turbine Blade Test Bench

IDOM designed and constructed for CIEMAT (Spain’s Technological, Environmental and Energy Research Centre) a test bench for testing wind turbine blades from 1 m up to 10 m long. The Test bench was designed for ultimate load tests and accelerated life testing for blades up to 10 metres and scaled models of prototypes. Services included the design and construction of the foundations, mechanical and drive systems, and control system, and the commissioning of the complete test bench.
