Iberdrola Tower -CFD Studies

Cesar Pelli’s Iberdrola Tower is a 165-meter-high skyscraper which emerges from the heart of Bilbao to become the new headquarters of Iberdrola.
IDOM ADA performed several CFD analyses aimed to estimate the effect of wind loads on the Iberdrola Tower, such as global wind forces and moments on the whole building, pressure coefficients, local pressure on cladding, particle trajectories, wind comfort analysis, etc. The results obtained from the CFD analyses were satisfactorily correlated with the wind tunnel tests.
