High Speed Line Madrid-Extremadura

The High Speed Line Madrid-Extremadura crosses over the Almonte River where it joins the reservoir, by means of an arch bridge spanning 384 m in total; making it the largest high-speed rail arch bridge in the world (by the length of the main span). This large arch makes up the main span over a 996 m long viaduct, with a clearance over the river of 80 m.
