Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) Maynooth Line Expansion

The DART Expansion programme is a cornerstone of the Government’s National Development Plan for 2018 – 2027 and its major capital programme: Project Ireland 2040. The objective is to improve the electrification and signalling systems and provide a faster, more sustainable and safer railway system, which will increase frequencies and capacity in the Greater Dublin Area.
IDOM, as a multidisciplinary consultant, is managing and carrying out the Concept and Feasibility Design and Statutory Process and, in the future, the Detail design & Tender support, Construction support and Testing and Comissioning.
Introducing electrified high capacity trains on the Maynooth line will increase passenger capacity from the current 4,500 passengers per hour to almost 17,000 by 2027.
